„There is no right way to edit a film, only a way that serves the story best.“ – Walter Murch
Creating Stories
I’ve edited films in every kind of space you can imagine—on set, in hotel rooms, mid-air at 30,000 feet, rattling through cities on trains, even making those final trims in the back of a car, racing to a premiere. After years of editing on the move across the globe, I set up firsteight in 2007—Germany’s go-to editing house and talent hub for next-level editors.
I’ve had the privilege of crafting stories alongside some serious visionaries—Wim Wenders, David Gaddie, Thor Saeverson, Vincent Jerome, Anniken Lien, Matthäus Bussmann, Michael Fueter, Markus Walter, Jake Nava, and Joakim Back. From high-end commercials to raw indie shorts, gripping feature films, punchy trailers, and iconic music videos—I want to shape stories that stick.
I don’t care if it’s Avid, Premiere, or Resolve—software doesn’t make a great film, instinct does. Editing ain’t about what’s under the hood; it’s about the rhythm, the energy, the punch it delivers.
